I am still waiting for a reply from the craft yarn council, again to date I have NO IDEA who told Lily that she was the Worlds fastest, the ONLY person that has PROOF of that right now is Lisa Gentry. I want to give all involved plenty of time to respond and after that I will do another article based on what information I have so if the cyca is reading, I need your response if I don't get it I will just use the info I have.

The CGOA obviously doesn't care about who gets the recognition or who the rightful title owner is. It's obvious that all they cae about is the money they make and the publicity. I've never even met Lisa and I have only been part of this forum for a few days but the whole thing still makes me sick. Lisa, use the support that these ladies give you to your advantage and don't give up the title that is rightfully yours.

I just wanted to let you know that the November issue of Crochet! has an article entitled, "Fastest Crocheter title belongs to Gentry". It mentions that "A the recent CGOA conference, Gentry competed with Chin for the Craft yarn Council of America's "fastest crocheter" title, winning the time trial...and that they will face off at the Craft Yarn Council of America'a competition in October, 2006." The article does recognize that Lisa Gentry "has broken the world record and taken hold of the Guinness book of World Record's "fastest crocheter". The article is on page 6 of the CGOA Chain Link newsletter, Vol.14 Number 5.
Just thought you ladies might want to know.,,

Yes you are right it is about time, Now Lily needs to quit saying she is the Worlds fastest, of course she never was. From my view, this has really given crochet a "black eye" so to speak, very shameful. I still don't understand why someone would just try and take a title that they KNEW was not theirs. She could of said "I am the fastest at the 3 minute time trials" for the cyca and the cgoa and that would of still been impressive. I am still investigating and so far cyca has not responded. If I do not get a response from them by the end of this week, I will be doing an article about what I do know without their input, thats all I can do really.

haha eva can I get those red shoes when you're done? I think that Ms. Chin is one of those people who just doesn't care about being well-liked. Like Bill Gates. He has 98 billion dollars (or so) and he lives in this secluded mansion with tons of security b/c he knows he isn't well liked but he doesn't care. He just likes that he's rich and owns a company that many poeple rely on. So we should all switch to mac and put him out of business...lol now I'm just a rambling mac user. But yeah, Ms. Chin is one of those people. She's going to milk this title for all it's worth. She doesn't carfe if she is not well liked.
