Does anyone else watch Miami Ink? I'm not even a tattooed person, but I find myself watching these guys! Chris Garver is amazing! I love his work. I know lots of people with tattoos and I have never seen any as beautiful as his. And, I think the show is both educational and funny.

I don't have cable tv, so sadly, I'm not watching it.

I would say get someone to tape it, but it's rather addicting. I think you'd love it because of your interest in tattoos--I can't figure out why I seem to always watch it! I told my boyfriend that if I ever was going to get a tattoo, now I'd have to go to Miami!

I watch both it and Inked... I love Miami Ink, not too sure about Inked... Miami Inked feels like a real tattoo shop, y'know? The shop in Vegas feels/looks like a hair salon to me... I know its in a casino and all that, but damn. And the duh-rama... omg, it kills me how much of Inked is about the drama. Miami Inked is more about the tattoos and the stories behind them. Much better television, in my book.

I watch Miami ink, more for the art than the show or the artists. But the show is a total fake, clients come in, have consultations, get tattooed, but never pay? Maybe the clients are auditioned, is the image they want worthy of being on the show? If it is, maybe it's free. As for the shop, which the opening moments show them building, was probably built by the film crew. While the street location does exist and was a former tattoo studio, a few bad camera angle reveal that there is no ceiling. The ceiling is painted all black and hung with KinoFlo film lighting. Way too much aditude from the supposed shop owner Ami James. At least Inked is a true studio that won't close when the show fails to get renewed for season three.

I just got through watching a Miami Ink marathon and I'm totally considering getting a tattoo.

I really liked the show and the fact that they really tried to get it through that tattooing is really artistic. I always knew it was art, but actually seeing people design the sketches was really inspiring.

My favorite design was the one about the father whose daughter had cancer and beat it, so he had a tattoo designed of his daughter killing the tumor with "Never Give Up" written beneath it.

I also watch miami ink and inked. I actually have been looking for a phoenix tattoo for 2 yrs now and when I was watching miami inked and chris and his friend went to hawaii I saw him do an amazing tat on a chic there. So I called up the shop in miami and asked alot of qn's. He knew which one I was talking about and told me if I was in the area to do a walk in and they would get it done for me. He also gave me a round about estimate on the tat. By all means this shop is not fake and maybe at the time that reggie was talking abotu they were doing some renos. I think the artists are awesoem and I cant wait to save up enough to go down to miami and get INKED lol

I too watch Miami Ink and Inked. Personally I like Miami Ink better because it seems to be lees dramatic and you see more of their work. Alot of the portfolios from tattooists in my city seem to be of skulls and demons and things of that nature. It's nice to watch these guys doing Japanese art and other kinds of tats with tons of colour.

Wow! I caught the Maimi Ink in Hawaii last nite, and then the second season opener. I could not believe the art work that Chris and Ami did there. Talk about amazing stuff. And then to watch all 4 of them working on that big dude. That was crazy! I'm glad we get to peek in on them for another season at least.

Isn't it just amazing, no one ever comes in and wants a tattoo chosen from typical "flash"? Every tattoo from that shop rivals the mastery of the Mona Lisa! I do like how they have steered a few people away from making bad choices. But Inked is still more like a real tattoo studio. People do and always will come in and want stereotypical tattoos, band logos, Harley emblems and cartoon figures. Inked doesn't filter what you see as much as Miami Ink does.
