i want a capuchin monkey as a pet. just wondering about feeding and taking care of it. i don't want to get one a then find out i cannot take care of it. [color:"orange"] [/color]

You have made a wise decision to learn as much as you can before purchasing. Having a monkey is like having a toddler the rest of your life, a toddler that can never be potty trained.

I certainly have nothing against exotics as pets but a monkey is not meant to be a pet for many reasons. They never adapt to living in a home, they are very unpredictable and will bite. They are social animals and a human is not enough to keep this animal happy. They will become ill and can die because of lack of socialization. They are very expensive to purchase, feeding, housing, medical is all very expensive. Please read the article in its entirety and do some additional research before purchasing a monkey.

I do not agree with having monkeys or apes or any other wild animal as a pet...they are not meant for pets...

yes but her story is differnt i also belive that monkeys should only be kept in the jungle e.t.c were they belong not in peoples homes
