Hello! i'm a newbie here.. hoping somebody can help. I tried to find, online, some more unusual colors of crochet thread size 10 - it doesn't have to be cotton, but it does have to be size 10 - and I give up! help! i'm looking for more updated colors like dark grey, muted purples, not the usual bright or baby colors around. Anybody have a site they can suggest? THANK YOU!

Herschner's doesn't have unusual colors like I was hoping to find, and yarn.com seems to only have fingering in a couple styles which is still too heavy, I think. Anybody else know of unusual colors of crochet thread out there?

Did you check out the weaving section at yarn.com ? Also I believe there use to be someone who sold on www.ebay.com huge lots of multi colored size 10 yarn from Turkey.

oh forgot to tell you, she also has the colors you are looking for in verigated threads. i bought a bunch from her and they are wonderful, very good quality and color. good luck.

You might want to "google" thread names (Manuela, Flora, and Opera come in size 10--I think Flora and possibly Manuela might have colors you would like--Manuela can be hard to find because it is imported from a country that has trade restrictions--Hakelgarn is supposed to replace it). I've bought thread from www.hhtatting.com (seems like I had to call in my order, but I'm not sure) and was very pleased with the color selections.
