I'm surfing and searching for sweater ideas to make for presents for Christmas. This was entitled as a jumper and I always thought that jumpers were one piece dresses with no sleeves and not collars but evidently I'm wrong. Any who...
I may try this one. It is crocheted as all one piece so you don't have to sew any seams and it is suppose to be reversable as well.
Here is the link in case anyone else would like to see:

Grace, this pattern is GREAT - thanks for finding it. I can use something like this for Afghans for Afghans. They are collecting 5000 kids' handmade wool garments for the winter.

Re: the word 'jumper'.....it's the common term for 'pullover sweater' in the UK, Ireland & Australia.

I'd like to crochet this sweater, but one thing bothers me; I see this in the instructions:
Dc= double crochet - UK version, or single crochet US version

So that means that anytime you see DC, it means single crochet?

I want to start this project, but I would need that clarified first. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Thanks for any help!

can't get the link...bandwidth exceeded?
Don't feel bad...I always thought that a jumper was what you thought (like a girls school uniform jumper!)...until a friend from Ireland said that a "sweater" here is a "jumper" there...strange, isn't it, how meanings of words change from place to place...

In England a sweater you put on over the head is called a jumper. The directions have to be converted to USA. A dc is a sc for USA. A tr (treble) is a dc in USA.

The way I read it, I would say that you do the sc instead of the dc because it looks like it is written according to UK language.
That's just a guess because I haven't gotten around to making this one yet.
