Where do I think the future of PDA lies? Much of the same...

Because all devices have different benefits depending on knowledge and intended use of the user. Some that are on the road alot love their BlackBerry; some that like Microsoft swear by their Pocket PC; while others like the value of commodity Palms. Everyone has different needs and preferences and the debate will continue which I think is great because a competitive market benefits everyone - anyone that is tired of Microsoft's high monopoly prices wants to avoid a monopoly player in the PDA market.

I think the big question mark is in where does Linux fit. There is no doubt that Linux will gain in popularity and continue to grow, but how will this play in the PDA area. Sharp Zaurus line of products has huge protential, but I'm not sure whether it will catch on. I hope they do gain in popularity because they seem to have some nice features.

Here's a comparison of Linux PDA's:

I also found this site to have some good articles on PDA's in general but unfortunately there is no section on Zaurus:

Does anyone agree with me?
