Cool. If your betta will accept the snail as company, not snack, you are styling against the algae.

Yeah, i'd bring that Danio back. He's just not a happy camper. You won't get a credit for one tiny little fish, but he will end up happier.

Wouldn't think a lil' guy like that would count for much store credit anyway. He's healthy, never had any illnesses or anything, and I've had him for nearly a year (not sure why I assume he's a "he" fish.....). Hope my local store'll take him and find him a good home.

Thanks for the compliments Jilly....and good to see you back again !!

I really enjoy that B&W tank....even if its an all fake setup...lol I have a batch of fry from the HB guppy pair and am waiting for them to grow large enough to put a few more in that tank.

Bummer...I bought a very pretty what I think might have been a green cobra guppy, not sure...it was gorgeous ! Metalic green body with the cobra orange tail and dorsal fin. Unfortunately the lady at walmart put him on the scanner...and then I forgot to lift him up over the scanner on the way out of the store.... oO(DOH!) So....he only lasted 2 nights...poor thing...though he never really showed any signs of being sick. He was fine the night before, and when I checked on him the next morning...he was dead.

I hate when I do things like that !

Oh no! Why do people run fish over a scanner?? Do they think they've been implanted with a bar code or something? Sheesh!

Yes, they know...the lady who was ringing me out didn't know...she had just set the bag down on the scanner, she didn't run it through, but apparently whatever scans things is still on or something. Her neighbor cashier was saying.."NO, take that off the scanner...here,give it to me...I mean it..you have to take that off the scanner !) lol...oh well, No, I havn't said anything to them about it and dont plan to. They did't have anymore of them and I don't generally purchase fish from walmart, but he was so darn pretty ! I'm not out but a couple of dollars and a pretty fish, so I'll let it go...and remember to be more careful to pay attention at the register and when I'm leaving the store next time.

I'm sorry about your little guy. I LOVE guppies. sometimes I love them more than I do bettas, because they are not such prima donnas, and are just almost as pretty. Almost.

Yeah...I never thought I would want guppies...lol...I have this thing about common fish that EVERYBODY has....like mollies and swords and...guppies......

I like having fish that are out of the ordinary...but, some of those fancy show quality guppies that you don't find in the fish stores very often....are Definitely as pretty as any betta ! Like these halfblack pastels I have....(can't wait for the fry to grow up ! ) AND...you can keep more than one guppy in a tank !

I also get a kick out of the babies...I really enjoy seeing them and rooting them on to not get eaten by everyone else. I give them a floaty plant to hide in, but otherwise they are on their own. If I pulled them out I'd be overrun with gupsters. So this way it's fair, just like in nature, that the smarter ones make it.

Yeah I hear ya there...the only reason I took these out is because I want more males for the B&W.......after I get what I want...it's sink or swim....lol...

I do have room in a 10 gallon that just has 2 female betta and one zebra LF danio....for any others that I might choose to keep...but I'm not really looking to do any more major baby raising any time soon after this....lol...
