In Czech Republic has mother 3 years of maternal leave. I don't mind, because I think to have kids is really a hard work, but if you imagine 3 kids = nearly 10 years of holiday, it is really a bit too much!!!

Well, it IS unfair. However, I always remind myself that life is not fair and I have so many of the benefits that women with children don't have. If I were to create a debit and credit column of who's better off, the Child-free win hands-down. Same with smokers versus nonsmokers. Non smokers win hands-down. Truth is I feel very sorry for people who have addictions and/or children. That really puts it in perspective for me.

That's true Eyecanoe. I agree. It is helpful to focus on the positive side of being cf and have compassion for people with kids.

P.S. - I just got a promotion to Vice President. And we just hired a woman who they are already thinking about firing because she has been leaving work all the time and is on her cell phone dealing with kids' stuff - she never gets anything done in the office!
