the last time I ate some pierogi ("ruskie" of course) was in the restaurant at Krakow airport in May - they cost almost nothing and were surprisingly good!

all these pictures are wonderful. But I believe that they should organize pierogi festivities in winter rather. Summer is just too hot for it!

[color:"purple"]there's a parish in the next town which has a polish festival every year on the last weekend in july...i make sure to go every year just to have some homemade pierogi! they also have a good keilbasa (not that hillshire farms junky imitation!)

there's also a pierogi festival (and contest) in a town in the upper left-hand corner of pennsylvania - saw a show about it on the food channel. i can't remember what the name of the town is...it's in erie county...and i can't find anything about it on google... [/color]
