One of the most popular and inquired about topics is spell casting and ritual creation. Making an effective spell or ritual takes clear visualization and focusing of intention.

And some of the best spells are the simplest ones.

One of my favorites is one for ridding yourself of anger, frustration - whatever label you put on negative emotional energy.

You cast this spell outdoors, preferably near a body of water like a stream, pond, lake, the ocean, etc.

Select an amethyst that fits easily into the palm of your hand when it is closed. Bless the stone and ask it to be the receptor of your anger - in other words, program it with your magical intent.

If the body of water is very far from you, drive to the general area, but then walk the remainder of the way to the water, taking the amethyst with you. Make it like a nature walk, and make note of your natural surroundings.

When you get to the water's edge, hold the amethyst in your receptive hand (if you are right handed this would be your left and vice versa). Visualize the anger, sadness, rage and all negativity moving down from your brain through your face, into your neck, shoulder, down your arm, and running into the stone. Fill the stone up - empty your anger into the stone.

When the stone is full, hurl it as hard as you can into the water, and as you do that - scream, moan, shriek, holler - to empty the remaining negative emotion from your spirit. Ground yourself - you might want to sit on the ground by the water's edge, and give thanks, perhaps leave an offering of bird seed, etc.

Then walk away from the water and don't look back.

I've used this one twice and it has worked beautifully for me, as well as for a friend who was dealing with the negativity of a nasty divorce.

I absolutely agree! (And I've used a spell very similar to the one you describe--it was very, very effective).

I've also found that the more personalized a spell is, the more effective it is. Once you understand a bit about correspondences, creating your own spells is relatively easy. You can also take a spell from another source & make it your own in what you use, what you do, or what you say. The whole idea of the spell ritual is to focus energy. The more it resonates with you, the more effective it will be.

ARTICULATEKITTEN, 'the whole idea of the spell ritual is to focus energy'.....which can be done in multitudes of ways, and is done generally in ignorance by each and everyone of us every day.
An individual CAN make the world a nicer place simply by thinking beautiful.
