What is the best way to grow brussels sprouts? Are you suupose to break the lower leaves away?

Brussels grow just as well if you leave all the leaves on - but you can take the bottom 5-7 leaves off if you want them to look tidier.
They do like moist fertile soil so if the weather is dry it is important to make sure you water them well.

They taste lovely stir fried with bacon and onion <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
