Sometime in May, I purchased a new betta named Moonbeam.

Well, I noticed that unlike my other fish, he has an insatiable appetite. He's never content with the 3 pellets he's supposed to have. Rather, he'll eat 10 and still be hungry.
I spoke to a friend about this, who tends to be very knowledgeable about animals, and she told me he might have a worm, especially if his stomach is inflated.
I told her it wasn't, since he really doesn't look any different than when I got him, but comparing him to my other betta and pictures on the web now, it does seem as though his stomach is rather large. (Assuming his stomach is that area below his head)
Is it possible that he has some kind of stomach worm parasite? And if so, how do I treat him? Going to the vet isn't an option since my parents don't believe in spending so much money on a $5 fish, and I can't get there alone for lack of transportation.
