I remember Color Me Beautiful very well. I was in high school and my mom was all over that. However, she then found a group called Color 1 Associates. They would swatch the colors in your actual hair, eyes and skin and then give compliments to those.
She gave me a "personal color harmony" for my birthday my senior year of high school. I was categorized as a "light-bright contrast." I still have the swatches and evaluation. And it still works great. I still tend to dress in colors I like, but when I really want to knock 'em dead, I check my swatches and recommendations.
