Hello,
My name is Katia and I was hoping you could help me. I am a breast cancer survivor who lost my breasts to cancer 3 yrs ago. Now the breast implants I had put on are making me sick so this thursday is another surgery to have them off. I know for some its no big deal but having no breasts at 39 to me is pretty rough. I have decided to take back what cancer took from my life and make somthing beautiful out of it. I am going to empower myself and have beautiful tattoos put accross the scars on my chest after I am healed. But I cant find a woman artist in my area.. im in montgomery county Pa and I was hoping you could help. thanks so much

I am so sorry to hear of your troubles, Katia. I hope you can find comfort with your situation. You have a beautiful attitude about it. I admire that.

As far as finding a woman artist in your area. You can try looking on line but then you will also want to meet with her and see her work.

Have you considered using a man? As long as he is professional - I would think you would be okay. But again it does come down to preference and comfort.

There are some GREAT female artists in NY (where I am orig. from) - it's prob about a 3 hour ride for you but may be worth it. Also - not for nothing - I got most of my work done in FLA (Boca Raton) by a female and she's incredible. I don't know how far youre willing to go or travel to get this done though.

Thank you for your post and the compliment..I have wanted a tattoo for a long time and said when the time was right id do it. Now is the time and for such a beautiful reason as well.I have considered using a man, I think it would have to be the right man, id be barring my chest to him although there would be no breasts and i would hate for him to be discusted or sickened by the way the chest will look. I want this to be a amazing time to celebrate me and i dont want to shock or scare anyone.. so i guess im looking for the right " person" I should say..funny though since i have told my friends everyone wants one LOL. nice meeting you.. yeah i think florida is a tad bit too far for me thanks\
