I currently work at home doing Medical Transcription and I'm looking for something else for extra money but really don't want to work for another MT company. I recently heard of Alpine Access. They were featured on the Today Show. They are a call center. I was just wondering if anyone here works for them and can tell me exactly what they do or if someone else has heard of them. They say on their website that the average pay is $9.00 an hour.

I've never heard of them, but there are a lot of opportunities out there for Medical Transcriptionists. Many join groups of Virtual Assistants and others that work with other projects as well as transcription. If it is your own business, and you already know how to do transcription, you might find that going at it on your own, contacting local physicians and clinics ( especially new ones that pop up in strip malls) might net you a big return. You can go to www.ivaa.org to find a group of Virtual Assistants and just look for those that specialize in transcription.

You can also check that company out with the BBB and look at some complaint centers online. Just doing a google of their name might get you some results too.
