Leaving for the airport soon. I'll be back on August 25th or 26th (that is if they let me out of the country of course ). I have a webshots account where I'll try to upload photos every now and then. I hope you all have a nice summer and a safe one. Hussar's Webshots

Gather around the monitor glow ladies and gentlemen. I made it to Poland, but no thanks to LOT Polish Airlines. I got to the airport and found out that the flight would delayed from 6:40 to after 11:0 p.m. They proposed that we fly with Finn Air instead and get a $200 check. We agreed, go all the way across the airport with 5 other people to find out there is no connection from Finland to Warszawa. We go back and up getting another $200 check because we agreed to fly on Virgin Atlantic to London and then from there to Warszawa. The plane was delayed by an hour (We had to move to another take off strip). We got to London and then got on LOT to Warszawa. When we got there, I find out that I have no flight to Rzeszow and that I'm going by bus. By the time the bus got loaded and left it was about an hour. 15 minutes away from the airport we get called back to pick up more people. So instead of flying in at 2:30 in Rzeszow, we finally got there 10:00 p.m. Fortunately....... I'm here safe with all my baggage and got the first of many toys for my room. 2 Polish soccer scarves.

Hussar,
glad to hear you made it safe. Sorry for the inconvenience, I would not expect it in summer! I remember once my husband had problems to land in Krakow, but it was in winter and the airport was just icy. The airplane was delayed almost a day.
Still, it is nice that you earn some extra money for the inconvenience, it is always suitable for future travels.
Report us what did you see in Poland, any new adventures, family meetings etc!

Hussar,
We are following your adventures closely! At least you will have interesting stories, if not smooth travel, to tell about! Also, it is good that the internet connection is up and running!!

Bah.... Already hitting some roadblocks on the road to obtaining a passport and going to Lwow on July 5. For the passport I need my original birth certificate (translated into Polish) and then I have to have a paper that says my parents give me the right to go and obtain this passport (I had it notarized in the U.S.), but no they want it to go through the embassy or consulate. So now I get to play with that. I was also supposed to go to Lwow for a day at a price of 100 zlotych, but now I can't go because I have to have a visa because of my "Americanski passport." I can't obtain this visa on the border with Ukraine, but I have to travel to Krakow to get this visa...... Bunch of bs in my opinion. So for now it's just been travelling around on my bicycle, eating alot of food, and talking with good people. Until the next chapter in "Hussar's Adventures in the Jungles of Polska"
