[color:"purple"]Do you think Hispanics get enough political attention (either positive or negative) or do you think they deserve more? It always seems like someone is campaigning for some office. Do you think those in office or anyone running right now really hits the heart of Hispanic issues and concerns? Let me know what you think by replying to this post.[/color]

To be honest, I haven't been very active in politics since last year. I was disenchanted with the results of the Presidential election. From what I see where I'm at tho I don't see enough representation for Hispanics either at a local or a national level. While many of our issues (imho) are the same as everyone (health care, employment, etc) we do have issues specific to us (anything to do with Mexico or any other Latino nation etc)

I didn't come here thinking I'd have to think so quickly so forgive me if I don't sound like i make much sense. This does make me wanna do some political research tho. Thank you!

Does anyone know about the differences in employment standards and practices regarding sexual harassment (between existing laws in the US and similar laws in Mexico)?

This bizzare video seems to make a strong issue of a new campaign to combat workplace harassment in Mexico.

I am wondering if it is a big issue?

Hey,
I have been waiting to see if anyone else answered this post. What I can tell you is that it seems to be a big problem in most countries so yeah, I think it should be fought in Mexico as well. In Canada and the United States we have been having strong campaigns for it resulting in some still strong lawsuits. As they haven't dealt with it publicly before I would think it is an issue and will be until they go through the process. Until the laws are enforced they are as good as having none.
