Filet means "boneless" and mignon means "small". This small, boneless steak is cut from the small end of the tenderloin of the beef. The tenderloin is on the back rib cage.

Ice cream on top of spongecake, covered with meringue and baked until meringue browns. Usually dome-shaped.

Ratatouille is a vegetable stew or ragout(sp?) of eggplant, zucchini, onions, peppers and tomatoes.
