Hi..
I've been looking for a skunk breeder in New Jersey since it has to be New Jersey breed by law.
I've looked for one on the internet for a loooong time and could'nt find one. I was hoping someone here can tell me of a breeder in New Jersey that breeds/sells skunks. Please help me out they seem like great pets and I really want one! I've already found a vet and all just need to find the skunk! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
Thanks!

You could also look for a humane society etc that has skunks so that you could adopt one rather than buy one. See if your vete has any connections or if there is a 'domestic skunk club' in NJ that could assist you.

You can come and get the one that dropped the bomb last night outside our house!

It must have just walked by. There was a terrific stench for a few seconds. The dogs stood on hind legs to sniff the windows, and then a few eye-watering seconds later the smell was gone.

Brought back memories. I always associate the smell with road-kill, as a few always got hit on the highway when we were kids. I haven't smelled skunk in quite a while.

I wonder what set it off? Raccoon, maybe.

Anyway, the Jack Russell was out like a shot this morning and rolled in the slight remnant of skunk remaining. She couldn't wait...

Yes, descented skunks are beautiful and very interesting pets. Good luck in your hunt. Ask at Pets at Park in Paramus. The owners are very well connected with the pet industry.

Best,

I have heard of ruby farms.. but i wasn't sure if i can buy them their, because by New Jersey law they must be New Jersey breed. I was wondering if i can still buy one from ruby farms? Also about how much do baby skunks cost? I haven't been able to find that out either.

Skunk prices range from $100 to $800 in some pet stores. Be very careful who you buy from. Some skunks pet stores keep their animals in awful conditions.

The only breeder in New Jersey:

Vince and Barb Panella
Hackettstown, NJ
(908) 852-6993
They have a business with another name, so if you get their answering machine, it will say another business name on it.
They probably have sold all their babies for this year. They have a waiting list. See if you can get on it for next year, if so.
