My boyfriend and I have been together for three years. We are in college and not living together. We've made the comitment to get married when I graduate and we take this very seriously.
Lately there has been a problem. My bofriend, though he emphatically says he doesn't want to break up and I don't want to either, in fact thats not even an option, is getting really annoyed by random things I do. He's not taking it out on me in the least and he really wants to fix this issue, but we can't seem to figure out exactly what it is. He's never annoyed by the same thing twice, and it makes it hard to be intimate, not just sex wise but in conversation, I just wanted to know if anyone had any insite on what this may be? <img src="/images/graemlins/beamedup.gif" alt="" />

[color:"purple"]is he already done with college? when do you graduate? if it's coming up soon, he may be feeling like he's going to be locked in...and maybe he's not quite ready for that. he may still want to get married, just not have a concrete time-frame, which is what will happen once you graduate.

why do you say that breaking up is not an option? did you recently find out that you are pregnant? if so, he may be subconsciously balking at the responsibility that comes with having a child (and it IS a big one!!).

he has two years left and I have atleast three more likely four. I'm not pregnant. It's just we made a comitment and it's not something either of us are willing to break until we go through every other option. The only reason we aren't married is finacial reasons, preety much my parents stop supporting me if I get married before I graduate.
We have been thinking aboujt a councelor but rightnow he's in Texas and I'm in Philly for the summer so thats not really an option till school restarts. Unless he comes up to spend time with his family. Anyway. That's preety much the other details

when it comes to counceling, you can still do it - on an individual basis. maybe even do a joint session via telephone - that is, if both the councelors agree to it!

You say that "he is getting really annoyed by random things you do". Can you give us a few examples please and also on his reaction?
