heey guys,

its been a year since i've was here and i saw that this forum changed a little bit, its not just only ffx annymore(i thought it was so a year ago).

but i was wondering

i have a question for the ffx players who have been active on this forum for a pretty long time(at least a year),
if they can remember a topic called "The Dark Aeons" and there was a REALLY large post there by someone how to build-up your characters for the dark aeons. A really fast way to get 3 characters totally build up.

can annybody remember that topic caus its gone(i cant find it in this new forum).

or does someone know that way to build up really fast??

thanks

note that the trick had something to do with the weapons, armour, ap, and the zoo thing on the calm lands

Go to Calm Lands monster arena. Fight the Don Tonberry. Before you enter battle, whoeever you want leveled up should have armor with at least triple overdrive, overdrive - AP, and Triple AP. Set overdrive mode to Stoic (Where you take damage when you get hit). Use light attacks with whoever you want to level up so that you don't kill DT too quick. He will hit you for 99,999 every time. Just bring that person back to life, rinse, lather, and repeat. You can do this with multiple people at one time. Just keep fighting for a while and then eventually kill him. If you do it long enough, you will get 99 sphere levels out of every fight for whatever characters are taking damage. Good luck and let us know if you have anymore questions.

Step 1, Celestial Weapons:
get the celestial weapons for Wakka, Yuna, and Lulu (These will be your main characters, Yuna and Lulu have 1MP cost, which makes them REALLY useful, and Wakka has the most powerful attack in the game), and also Auron and Rikku (since Auron's will come naturally, and Rikku is just easy to get)
I'm not gonna go over how to get the weapons, because I think you already know how, And I can't remember....been too long :S

Step 2 Normal Weapons:
after opening up all the monster arena bosses you'll be able to fight that floating eyeball. It'll give you some weapons with Triple AP, You'll want to get the triple AP weapon for characters who won't actually fight much, or who don't have double AP in their celestial weapons (like Lulu and Auron). If you have trouble beating the boss, you may want to fight Juggernaught instead.
Once you have enough 3 or 4 slot weapons you'll want to customise them with Triple AP, Triple OverDrive, OverDrive->AP (those three are the biggest requirements)

Step 3 Over Drive charging:
to charge your overdrive equip the character with their celestial wepaon (it has triple overdrive) and set their overdrive mode to "Victor", after two fights you get a full overdrive bar

Step x (steps no longer matter)AP Trick:
Get into a fight with DonTonberry. Have someone who can deal HEAPS of damage (ie, around 99,999 or so), and hit the fiend with that character. With any luck it'll attack with Karma doing 99,999 damage to you. Then you're waking characters can revive the fallen one, so he or she can attack again.
after 5 hits don tonberry dies and you get around 20 sphere levels (if he hit back with 99,999 damage each time)...or was that 40 sphere levels?
Tips: it's good to try fight him after boosting your attack to around 100 and something (150+ maybe), and boosting your agility up a bit, so you can hit him before he steps forward with his chief's knife and becomes really annoying...

step x Red Spheres:
red spheres are the ones that activate you on the sphere board.
To get these spheres you need to have the instil abilities.
In the monster arena you can fight Kottos and Fafnir for these spheres. By over killing you get 40 items, and if you used instil you get 40 red spheres.

step x purple spheres:
ok, here's the pary you been waiting for. (note, at the start of each fight, have your overdrives full)

Attack:
Fight: Juggernaught.
Stratagey: Put Auron in your party. Start by using his third overdrive (the one that does a full break and always works if you get the combination of buttons right). Then Just start hacking away. For a quick fight use Yuna and Lulu's quick hits, since they will only take 1MP, or if you are in the early stages of stat pumping use Wakka's overdrive and then entrust to him.
Once you strength is high enough you'll be able to beat him so fast he wont get an attack in (seriously), and you wont even need auron to start with, since it's defence wont do anything against your attack.
NOTE: cast Fire Null (or whatever it was...) to defend against it's fire breath (you know when he'll use it becasue he needs one move to power up)

Defence:
Fight: Tanket
Stratagey: Use Auron's overdrive again to full break and start hacking away. It'll be gone in no time.
NOTE: if one character stands then Tanket will constantly ram them until they are KOd. There's nothing you can do to stop that.

Accuracy:
Fight: Hornet
Stratagey: this bug just needs some bug repelant. A bit of high evasion makes it hard, and also it's status effects make trouble (but that's what ribbbon is for , you DID use the first 99 darkmatter you got from the monster arena fellow on ribbon right? ribbon only avaliable in PAL and international versions, the ones with dark aeons)
But nontheless, it'll fall easy if you fought Juggernaught. Just hit it with some Attack Reels if you're havving trouble hitting it with quick hits.

Evasion:
Fight: Pteryx
Stratagey: Two hits. that's all it takes. Good luck hitting it...
NOTE: apparently it has 60 evasion, so if you get REAL frustrated a good attack reels or blitz ace will do. It only has 100,000HP (1 short of a one hit KO)

Magic Defence:
Fight: One Eye (the one you fight to get triple AP weapons)
Stratagey: If I remember right, this is a one-hit-KO fight (that is, one 99,999 hit)
You'll end up with HEAPS of these purple spheres, and some frustration too, when it give you armour not weapons.

Agility:
Fight: Fenrir
Stratagey: Ah yes, Fenrir...go look at some norse mythology sometime, you'll see Odin, Gungir, Fenrir, Fafnir, Nidhogg, and a few other names used in FF.
ANYWAY, back to the stratagey. Unless your agility is around 210+ then you MUST use this stratagey, unless you like long painful fights...
Start the game with three characters who have first strike and who AREN'T Wakka, Tidus, or Yuna. Switch the first person with Wakka and use Attack Reels. If Fenrir isn't gone (most likely not) then use Blitz Ace. If he still ain't gone then use GrandSummon Magus Sisters Delta Attack. If he aint gone then...well...reset and try again when you beaten Juggernaught a few more times.

Magic:
Fight: The giant jelly thing. Jumbo Flan.
Stratagey: Be ready for a LONG and BORING fight.
First give Anima Dispel magic and Lancet (to drain mp) and regen (just for fun ). I can't rememebr what the items you need for these are now.
Start the fight and continuously use PAIN and nothing but pain. After awhile Jumbo Flan will use reflect and regen. If you don't have dispel then you're screwed. Forever. Because regen will regenerate all it's HP back and pain is a slow attack too.
Now you MUST make sure you're hitting for 99,999 each time, otherwise you will NOT get 2 magic purple spheres. Which will be a waste of time, and you might as well have been using double cast Ultima and doing a little 20,000 damage or so.
Alternatively, you CAN just double cast ultima for a long time with Yuna and Lulu, and then pull out the artilery (anima) and pain it to death.
NOTE: Jumbo flan's attacks do nothing with enough magic defence, you'll recover any lost HP with the regen.

Luck:
Fight: Neslug
Stratagey: Quick hit until it withdraws into it's shell, when it does pull out Attack Reels and Blitz Ace to crack it open. then quick hit it to death.

Luck red spheres:
Fight: Earth Eater
Stratagey: sadly there isn't an instil luck ability. So you have to fight this fellow. Basically you just use quick hits, and it'll fall over and fart out some flares. When it has fallen over use Attack Reels, and then entrust for more attack reels.

Money: you get unlimited while you're in the arena. Just sell off the useless weapons and armour you get from each fight

Fights in between:
Fight either Kottos, Fafnir, ChimeraGiest(the first monster you get to fight in the monster arena), Don Tonberry, or Sleep Sprout. why? because they are the ones that will help you the most. Kottos and Fafnir drop 40 items for an over kill, don tonberry give you AP, chimerageist give you return spheres, and sleep sprout takes one hit to kill and gives you teleport spheres.

It takes a while to get your stats up. but the fastest way is to end fights quickly with quick hit or attack reels(if you're in the early stages).
it's best to fight Juggernaught first, since he only gets easier and makes the other fights easier, the rest of the order is up to you. Although agility and defence would help.
Magic isn't really a nesesity, since the only magive you'll ever need is Auto-Life, Life, and Full-Life (and 1mp makes them happen almost infinantly)

hope that helps. I can't quite remmeber how to get the items for the weapons.
I'm surprised i could remember the names of the monsters...almost...haaha, fought them so much their names are engraved to my memory...if only math were like that...

eehhmm.... u wanna kill dark aeons... and find a quick way??
listen... i didnt get all the destruction spheres from the temples to get the anima aeon... so... i went back to besaid to get that sphere.. and a dark valefor attacked me...
he did his shot.. and i was dead :S... i fought him about 5 times and i gave up... he was too strong..(for me^^)
later.. i wanted tidus' weapon.. and went back to zanarkand.. there... a dark bahamut was waiting for me...
since i already died by valefor, ifrit, ixion, anima and the magus sisters... i didnt think i would stand a chance againts bahamut (dark versions offcourse)
i grand summoned Yojimbo... and i had to pay him... i gave alot of money... and he killed bahamut in 1 strike....
i was speechless for about 5 hours... and then i did the same for some other dark aeons ^^ so... i think that is a quicker way to kill the aeons^^
