They're about 4-5 PLN But, you know, in the poor east everything a little bit cheaper

I think that in the weather forecast they said that summer will come back in about two weeks, but such long forecasts are as accurate as if a medium would try to forsee the weather using tea lees

Valefor,

nice to see you after a long time. How are you doing?

By the way, I realized that we use two different temperature scales - Fahrenheits - which is used in the USA and Celsius - used in Poland. I am not sure which scale is used by Brits. Anyways - 90 F means above 30 C and the temperatures 15-20 C are in 60-es of Fahrenheits.

Here is the converter:
http://www.albireo.ch/temperatureconverter/

I got used to Fahrenheits because its scale is more expanded and it is easy to judge that for instance the temperatures are in the 40-es, 60-es or 90-es, whereas the differences of temperatures from 20-30 C is much bigger and the information that the temperatures (in C) are in 20-es is much more "rough".

I agree that Fahreheit is easier to read with its expanded scale, but in UK we now have got used to (or at least I have!) Celsius - all our weather reports and forecasts have this as their main measure (although they usually say 'And that is xxx in Fahrenheit'!)

Summer got a month's early start this year but then turned cloudy & to thenormal temperatures. Just went to an engineering for the climate in Alaska seminar and winters are warming up while summers are staying the same. Climatological data we work with that was updated 25 years ago is no longer valid. This will affect us in foundations and ground stability as permafrost continues to warm up or melt. It keeps life interesting!

So I hate to give up nearly a month of Alaska summer for the EUro trip, but, some things must be!

Here in Maryland we jumped from a cool spring to a hot and humid summer! It's been in the 90's F. for the past two weeks, and humidity around 75!
We are into the hurricane season now, with the first tropical storm already heading up the gulf coast towards Alabama, and causing severe flooding around Florida. We'll probably feel the effects of it here in a couple days...so it may cool us off I hope.

Taura,

yes, I've heard that there is hot in the Northeast, it is still cold in Idaho and I can use my garage as a refrigerator. Too bad, Ela cannot wear any of her summer dresses!

Forza,
I loved the live camera in Plock, thanks!
