When I started, I practiced ALOT doing simple rib slides (left to right). I think if you focus on that side to side first, the circles will come easy! This is also great for strengthing your back!

Good luck & keep us posted on your progress <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

As everyone's said, practice and it will come. I think it took about 3 months of practice for me to be able to get them and I never thought I would. I've had two back surgeries and my back is very locked up and stiff. It did finally loosen up and they're second nature now.

Something that helped me with rib cage circles - imagine you're tracing the shape of a circle or clock on the floor or on the wall, and remember that you're only using the rib cage.

thankx for ideas and help,I think its amazing how the dancer isolates the ribs and moves them that way,I am better now at it than i was a week ago,its been daily practise for me,I see what and how and waver towards frustration when i cant do!!
but then I think of other things i have learnt, and how I was at the beginning,to how I am now and that instantly reasures me.

best wishes
