When I get asked 'the question' I like to respond with:
"Because I like my sanity, waistline, and bank account just the way it is."

I couldnt use the "waistline" one, My best freind had 3 kids and looks like a super-model. But I belame that on her having kids so young, I think your body kinda bounces back into shape in your early 20's. or at least for her it did.

She would put all of us to shame.

Speak for yourself! I have a perfectly flat stomach. I will do what I have to in order to keep it that way including not stretching it to kingdom come with pregnancy. Is that vain of me? Probably. Do I care if you think I'm vain? Nope, not at all!

Thinker, I LOVE the waistline comeback and will be using it whenever I get bingoed.

Put all of to shame. Girl, I have a the body of a fitness model. I work my butt off for it (literally) and my abs are, in my opinion, my best asset, physically speaking.

Dang people. It was just a comment about how good she looked. Didnt have any real meaning behind it. She doesnt work out though. She just must have good Metabolism or something. Most of my friends who had kid's in their early 20's look like they never had them. But you can also work off pregnany weight and get back to a flat stomach. So any body who gained "baby" weight and uses that as a excuse is just trying to excuse the fact that they didnt work it off.

Any girl who would work her butt off to look like a fitness model can look like one (Have had children or not) Thats why the waistline comment doesnt work for me. It wasnt a personal remark.

ah--youth! LOL I could work out till kingdom come--and have most of my life--but then BAM! you get a disease and guess what my healthy happy young friends? HAHAHAHAHAHA!
And for some women--pregnancy can bring out latent health problems and 'baby weight' is a part of their lives no matter what they do. You are not considering hormones and metabolic changes than CAN be permanent---it is playing russian roulette. do you feel lucky?

Well it's just the only bigger person in my family is the only CF person. And a lot of my friends who had kids are not heavy people at all. I am not saying CF people or Parents will get fat. But having kids doesnt mean you will. Most people around me lose their baby weight.

but yes, I am sure a lot of people had hormones and changes like that. It just hasnt happened around me. The freinds who did gain a tun of weight after having kids have no excuse. they really ate for 2, and sat there and never worked it off. If I ate all the time and sat around I would be a bigger person too.

my mom is skinny minni, my sister is skinny minni, my best friend is also, my 2nd best friend is also...and all had children. ALL I am trying to say is Pregnany doesnt Always equal having no waistline. And being CF doesnt mean you will have a waistline.

That one comment about the "waistline" wasnt suppose to be a personal attack. It was just a comment.

I know it was not personal or an attack. I was just being facetious. I rarely let others get to me on forums. Atleast not personally. If anyone ever has a problems with me--please just ask me if I am being ironic or sarcastic--I have a an odd sense of humor sometimes. And I really do not deliberately set out to hurt anyone's feelings or start arguments- I don't like to argue. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

All these comments about being trim and CF or no waistline and a parent are so funny because I hate to admit this and this is something that I am definitely working on, although the stress in my life right now is nothing like I've been through before, but I have no waistline either and I look pregnant and I have no intention of ever having a baby.

There have been quite a few remarks and a few flat-out questions asking if I am pregnant. One was a college professor during the break.
