When the blooms die off can I do the same thing I do for my Phal, cut off at the nodes & it will rebloom? Or do I just cut the flower spike off at the base?

To tell you the truth, Orchid5, I don't know. We cannot grow them here in Texas and I have no personal experience with them. I did a quick search on the web and didn't come up with an answer...but will keep on checking.

Orchid5 I can't answer that question either I don't have one. I thought that Phals were the only ones that rebloomed, but I learned not to long ago that encyclia Cochliata can rebloom too. Oh forgot that psycopsis also rebloom for a while also, but you don't cut their spikes. Ok so what I would so is cut the spike back to the first dormant node like you do with your Phals and then leave it. The plant will tell you it it wants the spike cut or not but either keeping it green or turning it brown. If it turns brown then you know its not a rebloomer. Good Luck!!
