Is it possible for a catfish to continue living if their barbels have been ripped? <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Well, he's looking much better anyway. He's stopped moping in one spot and he looks a lot less ragged. He's even swimming around with his friend hunting out food. I'm still keeping an eye on him, he's so adorable and small. *hopes for the best*

He should heal up ok if the water quality is kept up. Sometimes they can injure thier barbels digging through gravel...

Corys will have trouble finding food without the barbels, so make sure they don't have much competition for the food they do find...just give him extra attention to make sure he eats, or keep him in his own tank with top-eater fish like danios and guppies.
