Hello, I have been studying some of your patterns with a view to trying something. I am a bit confused though with the stitches. In UK we don`t have single crochet. Is that when you insert hook, pull yarn through and on through stitch on hook (what I call slip stitch) Double crochet is inserting hook and pulling yarn through to have two stitches on hook, Yarn over the hook and pulling through both stitches. Is my understanding right? It is the single crochet I need to understand. Thanks in anticipation!! Aine

Hi, Thanks for steering me in the right direction. We are obviously calling our stitches differently. Your single crochet is our double crochet, your double crochet is our treble and so on. Your patterns now make sense to me. I want to try and make a shrug!! Cheers! Aine
