I do remember those days. Saddle shoes and bobby sox were a mainstay. One of the first record I ever bought was "Blue Suede Shoes" by Carl Perkins.

I remember pegged pants. My father thought I was nuts.

The pegged pants were called zoot suits.. Most of the Italian Stallions wore them along with wide brim hats

Actually, the weather where we were was fine. Rained one 1/2 day and all the others were 70's and sun.

Friday was a bit of a washout. The wind reached 79 mph and we got about 4 to 5" of rain. Blew quite a few shingles off the condo roofs there.

My daughter had a heck of a good time. She met a Marine Captain that she liked. Unfortunately he is going to Iraq in 6 weeks but they made tentative plans to meet in Rome halway through his tour. R&R and all.
