My first trip into this area of the forums.
I've always wanted to journal but never got started.
Now I can't write for very long without a lot of pain and at times typing does the same thing.
All that said, are there any articles for beginners?

Welcome,
I'm the new moderator for this topic. Usually when a topic is taken over the site has to be built up again from scratch so there really isn't any beginning articles.
What kind of journaling do you want to do?
Maureen

Thanks for the welcome Maureen!
I have no idea what kind of journaling I want to do since I'm not clear on all the terms.
I'd like to get some clutter out of my head, work out some long standing relationship issues, things like that.

I am a visual artist, so of course my interest here is the ART of the journal...illustrated travel journals, field journals with sketches, illuminated nature journals are specific areas of interest. Good luck with the forum Maureen. Do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of any assistance to you here. Cynthia Travel Sketches: http://www.botanicalart.50megs.com/photo3.html

I'm interested in garden journaling--I got into this when reading Bella Tuscany-- Frances Mayes sequel to Under the Tuscan Sun, in which she had drawn out blue prints of her prospective garden--kind of a visual wish list. This is a nice combination of art, creativity, nature, and writing.
If you have any interest in writing about that, that would be cool. There are some fascinating writings and drawings on the evolution of the garden, like the old palatial English Gardens and the French Gardens.
