What has been the best movie you've seen this year or which one are you most looking forward to seeing?

I haven't seen "Phantom of the Opera" yet. (I don't even think they played it in the theaters here .) But I'll be picking up a copy when it comes out on DVD in a week or so!

I've already been informed that we'll be seeing "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and "Star Wars" the day they're released. I'm also looking forward to Harry Potter and the Fantastic Four. Parts of "War of the Worlds" were filmed less than an hour away from here so that might be interesting to see.

I did see PHANTOM of the OPERA and I really liked it; although; my husband wanted to gouge out his eyes with his thumbs(which made the movie even better but then we have been married for several decades!)The music was divine as one would expect from a cast approved by the man who wrote the play.

I saw SIN CITY....very Very VERY gory. But I will rent it and see if I can decide what happened at the end and fast forward thru the worst of it.

I liked CONSTANTINE but I admit to a weakness for all things Keanu.

I got Sideways on DVD when it came out. I love the movie. I have watched it 4 times already. Makes you want to drink wine.

I just picked up "Sideways" on DVD over the weekend but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. I've wanted to see it since it first came out and I saw the previews with the "I'm Not Drinking Merlot" scene!

And I have to agree with "Million Dollar Baby". (I'm a major crier in movies!)

The last movie my husband and I saw was "Sin City". It was a little different than I expected....but I mean that in a good way. It sort of reminded me of "Pulp Fiction".

I think that Million Dollar Baby and Sideways are def. two of the best films out this year. There are a ton of others that I am really looking forward to though (now that summer is here I have been seeing commercials for a TON of new ones!).

Here are a few from my list:

Madagascar (might go see that this weekend!!)
War of the Worlds
Star Wars
Batman Begins
Charlie and the Choc Factory
Herbie
Mr and Mrs Smith
Dark Water
Chicken Little
The Producers
Harry Potter
Narnia
King Kong

Which ones do you want to see??

Hi Raleigh! It looks like there are some really good movies coming out. We've seen "Star Wars" (twice...so far). "Batman Begins" and "Fantastic Four" look like they'll be good. I really want to see "The Island" and "Mr and Mrs Smith" and we'll definitely be seeing "Harry Potter" when that comes out. I was a bit skeptical about "Narnia" but the previews look awesome! I haven't seen the previews for "King Kong", but it's a Peter Jackson film, so I have high hopes. When we saw the previews for "Fantastic Four" and "Narnia" in the theater, people actually applauded which was neat!

Hi Tammy! You are right - there are a ton of great movies coming out!! I still haven't seen Star Wars, but I do want to see it some time. Did you see the Narnia preview in the beginning of that one? That is the movie that I am prob. most looking forward to!! Batman Begins looks awesome - I bet that one does really well! I didn't end up seeing Madagascar over the weekend. But I want to see that one soon! I haven't heard of the Island, what's that one about? I haven't seen previews for King Kong either, but I bet that one will be good! I'm really excited to see Herbie - I loved those movies as a kid... have you seen the commercial for that one?

What do you think about War of the Worlds, Dark Water and Charlie and the Choc Factory? Those are three other summer movies I'm looking forward to!
