One of my readers emailed me and said that last night's Cold Case (on CBS) featured a man who I guess 'killed' his wife. Said she had FMS and she 'faked it.'

Now, I didn't see the show and I don't want to give facts because I don't have any BUT:

did any of you see it?
what happened?
is it something that could potentially influence people's opinions about the illness?

I did not see the show on the particular date you gave, but I suspect it was a rerun. I saw an episode of Cold Case a few months ago where a man had murdered an employee and his wife because the wife would not have sex with the employer. During the investigation, years later, this man was complaining about his wife and her "made-up" illness, fibromyalgia. We had quite a discussion about this when it aired. But I don't feel the context wasn't detrimental to fibro. This guy was so sleazy that no one wouldn't be sympathetic to his poor, long-suffering wife.
