Just wondering if anyone knows if fresh chillies are safe for Kakarikis to eat? I have a Kak (Frodo) who loves the dried chillies in his food mix. I have been tempted several times to get him fresh ones but chickened out each time. Any advice would be great.
Peppers are fine - I don't feed them to my birds, mainly because I don't like them myself & don't have them in the house. As with any new food, just give a bit at first to see if your bird has any reaction.
Brilliant, thanks very much for that. I thought they were probably safe as he loves the dried ones so next time I see them reduced in the shop I'll give them a go. Maybe I'll try to dry my own.
