I was just wondering if anyone knew where I could find a pattern for a sweater similar to the one on "the crochet guys" site? The short cocoon childs one? I need to make a short "Balero" type sweater for my niece to wear in a wedding. It needs to be somewhat "Frilly" to go over her flower girls gown. I have searched most of the sites on the web with No luck. I even bought a childs shrug pattern I love, but I am having to much trouble understanding the pattern. Thanks for all the help!

You can use baby yarn and a smaller hook, just follow the pattern. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

On Crochetville there is a long thread about making this pattern. The Crochet Guy says to measure from wrist to wrist with arms spread out horizontal to the ground and then make chains for this measurement. If you do this, and then use the smaller hook and yarn as Eva suggests, I think it would work.

Would you be looking for more of a shrug patten then? This shrug comes in sizes 2-12 then adult sizes.
