Disney movies have been terrifying children for decades; why stop now? I just saw the trailer for this yesterday(while viewing SERENITY-which I highly recommend) and it was as yummy this time as every time before...I can hardly wait---this and the new Harry Potter--woohoo!!

I remember reading the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe when I was about 10 and to me it was scary as a book then - but I loved it. When Aslan died - dont know which book it was I was in tears. Anyway really looking forward to the film, which looks like a Lord of the Rings clone. If it is then thats great - my partners children now 12 and 13 didnt find the creatures in Lord of the Rings scary at all, in fact the opposite. Im not surprised as they cant get enough of Playstation monsters these days - unlike my day when daleks in Dr. Who made me want to hide behind the sofa!! - how times have changed

Well, we're only a month away from the release!
I hope they've done a good job of following the book and haven't just added a bunch of extra "eye candy" visual effects. They should have enough exciting scenes to work with from the book. I've already noticed some variations in the previews & marketing posters.
It appears they've turned the Shetland pony sized reindeer that pull the White Witch's sledge into ferocious looking polar bears. And I'm sure I don't remember the book having a giant, frozen waterfall that thaws and washes the children down the river!
