I have two breeding cockatiels and lately the male has been making some strange noises. He sounds almost like he's growling <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> it's like a mixture of radio static and a growl. He's been making up some new songs too (they're so cute). Also he has been tapping his beak on his food dish. Is this just part of the breeding process or what? I've had him for about a year now and he's never done this before so if anyone has any ideas please let me know. Thanks!
LOL - these guys will always do something that we don't understand. The growling sounds are certainly different from what I've heard mine do, but the rest does sound very much like the beginning of the breeding process.
