The pope died with dignity, in his own apartment in Vatican.
He had a full life, God let him to witness the Easter this year. He was not artificially kept alive and the church did not stay in limbo.

He will be remember as a great leader of the church, the charismatic person. He did not please everybody, but who will please everybody?

He was a pro-life person - against abortion, death penalty, injustice wars, poverty.

He had a full life, good death and he is now already at the Lord. The death of the pope is a bit different thing that a death of any of us, since he is always so close to the Lord. I think, there is less despair in it,.... although we Poles are still very sad because we do not have our Polish pope anymore.

He was a great and wonderful man. So holy. Wouldn't you love to be there to see him walk into the lords arms?

I hope you do not mind me posting here. I am not polish but I have great respect for the man.

Dear Peaceful,

it was so nice that you came here and posted. This pope was a pope of all Catholics not only Poles. We do not have any exclusive rights to him.

It is nice to know that people all over the world care for him.

DEAR PEACEFUL AND ALL POLISH CULTURE SITE FAMILY....LILY HERE!-

TODAY IS MERCY SUNDAY AND I'M SURE WE ARE ALL FOLLOWING THE HAPPENINGS AT THE VATICAN AND THE PROCEEDINGS WITH REGARD TO THE PASSING OF POPE JOHN PAUL THE GREAT.

SOME POPE JOHN PAUL THOUGHTS ABOUT TODAY'S FEAST DAY OF .....MERCY SUNDAY......THE FEAST DAY SO CLOSE TO POPE JOHN PAUL'S HEART.
Mercy Sunday!
--------------

Romans 11:32
For God has consigned all men to disobedience, that he may have mercy upon all.

--------------------
God desires Mercy for all. Period. We forever want to put qualifications on that. Or read our tea leaves and prognosticate about who has definitively excluded themselves from that grace. Or figure out ways to limit that grace. But God's grace is clever and much bigger than our little theories. That doesn't mean everybody is bound to be saved. But it does mean we are bound to desire the salvation of all and not try to figure out ingenious ways to exclude Those We Are Pretty Sure God Doesn't Approve Of. Such people are called "enemies." We are not to pretend they are not our enemies. We are to face the fact they are, speak that fact frankly, and bless them. Today, seek the mercy of God for yourself and your worst enemy. God have mercy on Osama bin Laden and that guy who cut me off on the freeway. Bless them twice as much as me! I leave it to you, O Lord, to figure out who is and is not willing to receive your mercy. It's your job, not mine.

A GOOD LESSON FOR US ALL IN THIS OLD TIRED WORLD!!

God Bless

lily
