Well, gang, San Francisco is all abuzz again today....

A SF Superior Court judge today ruled that the ban on gay marriage is unconstitutional. He said the law violates the right to marry the person of one's choice, similar to the law struck down in 1948 that banned interracial marriage.

We now await the inevitable appeal and legal arguements.....

I am not sure there is anything that you can do in regards to getting the marriage recognized and have that as your basis for coming here to work.

All i know is the "usual" channels that you can go through. i don't know what your situation is specifically, but I would suggest that your partner check with an immigrations lawyer to see what other routes you can persue.
