Hi all,

I just wanted to give some of you a "head's up" on the next big feature of my site. I'll be posting free Tunisian crochet video tutorials for all to see. Videos will be in both Quicktime and Real Player formats so that not everyone is left out. My service provider allows for a hefty amount of storage (600MB I think...), so the quality of the videos will be superb.

Tunisian crochet is very exciting (to me at least) because it has so many elements related to regular knitting, but still only uses one hook, i.e. the knit stitch, purl stitch, etc... It works up quickly too, which is always nice for those off us who crave more, More, MORE new projects often.

Currently there is a link on the main page which will lead to the tutorials, but it's a "Coming Soon!" page. I'm hoping to have stuff up by the end of Spring Break. Bookmark me if you're interested in learning Tunisian crochet.

Happy Stitching,

Morgan,

WOW. THANK YOU! You know, I always appreciate hearing from customers, no matter how "in the thick of it" I am. That's what most inspires me, hearing that it was a hard project, and yet, you were able to do it. Isn't it good to feel successful?! That's why I went into teaching. And you're right, lots of counting. The counting is most important, as recommended in the actual pattern. If you're off, you really can't fix it in that pattern b/c you'll notice it.

Morgan, send me some pictures of what you did. I'll post them in my gallery! I can always make up a name if you don't want your real name to be in it.

Did you check out my blog? Debbie Stoller bought a pattern from me two weeks ago and asked me to contribute to her next book which will be a crochet one! I sent in 3 original submissions, and also a couple things from the site. She said it *might* be possible to use soemthing I already have posted. We'll see how that goes. Hopefully she'll choose something from the newbies pile.

As for the future, if you're into handbags, that's where I'm headed next. It's uncharted territory for me, and I've designed one killer handbag so far. I'm excited to do more. I'd also like to have my own book someday. We'll see...

Thanks for replying!

I haven't seen that yarn yet, but it's Colinette and vey expensive, right? I always love the expensive ones. LOL. Ahh, the poncho. It's done and I sent it to Debbie, and if she accepts it, then it won't come out until the book comes out - it's a copyright thing. If not, I've got the pattern worked up, typed up, just need to do a day's worth of work on it, and then it can be posted. I had a pic of it on Craftster for a haf day before Debbie posted saying that it might ruin the surprise for the book. I also had the other two submissions posted also, so no real clue as to what she might take, if anything at all. Although, I'm keeping optimistic that she'll take SOMETHING.

Great, send those pics! i can post'em in 5 minutes flat. And if they need some touching up, I can do that too. Photoshop CS is a dreammmm.

Going to check out that yarn now...

I really like your site design - very sleek. I'm considering purchasing your melted crayons scarf pattern - love the name! <img src="/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Thanks for the compliments! I designed the site myself in Quark Xpress and paid someone to code it for me. Site design is really a hassle and you have to be a wiz at many things to get it right. Hence, my outsourcing on that job.

If you have any questions about the scarf let me know. I'm at: info@nexstitch.com.

P.S. Debbie Stoller bought another pattern from me today! The Sweet Pea Shawl! I was shocked to see her email address in the INBOX so soon. I'm feeling pretty confident that I'll get chosen.
