I have lots of events coming up - St. Paddy's Day parties, weddings, dinners - that I will need some good toasts for.
I have one Irish toast that's pretty good: "When we drink, we get drunk. When we get drunk, we fall asleep. When we fall asleep, we commit no sin. When we commit no sin, we go to heaven. So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!"
I need some more! There must be good ones out there! Can anyone help???
Cheers! Dragonfly

Wedding toast:
May you have many children and may they grow mature in taste and healthy in color and as sought after as the contents of the glass.

I have a few wedding ones: "The trouble with being the best man at a wedding is that you never get to prove it."
"Love is a thousand miles long but comes in six inch installments."
And from the Bride's Mom to the Groom: "To the man who has conquered the bride's heart, and her mother's."

A Beer Fox Toast:
Here's to craft beer, Here's to your cheer, Here's to the ladies with gold on each ear- Here's to the men, so dashing and bold, And here's to your laughter until you grow old!
How about more original toasts? Lots of occasions to toast! Let's see - a new love, a birthday, a divorce, a vacation, a new business partner...and of course, a wedding. I wonder if men or women are better at writing toasts? Who is better at giving them?

But rich or poor, quick or slow, May you know nothing but happiness From this day forward.
+++
May there always be work for your hands to do. May your purse always hold a coin or two. May the sun always shine warm on your windowpane. May a rainbow be certain to follow each rain. May the hand of a friend always be near you. And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
+++
May your glasses be ever full. May the roof over your heads be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you're dead.

Wow! This is a highly creative forum, isn't it? Let's see if we can post more cheer-phrases here than anywhere on the net!
Here are a few more toasts:
Cheers to you and cheers to me, the best of friends we'll always be. But just in case we disagree, to Hell with you and cheers to me. **** For every wound, a balm. For every sorrow, cheer. For every storm, a calm. For every thirst, a beer. **** And just in case you want a quick, one word toast, here are a bunch in different languages:
Chinese: Ganbei! (dry your cup) Dutch: Prost! (health) English: Cheers! French: Sant! (health) German: Prost! (cheers) Hebrew: Le'chaim! (to life) Irish: Slinte! (to your health) Italian: Per cent'anni! (for one hundred years) Italian 2: Salute (health) Japanese: Kanpai! (dry your cup) Russian: Vashe zdorovie! (to health) Spanish: Salud! (health) Welsh: Iechyd da! (health)

I always say Clinkies!
But I also like Groundhog Day's "To World Peace"
Dude, Where's my waffle?
