So, now that you know what's on my agenda today, I'll fill you in on the details..

I put in a temporary (really really red) color in my hair.. almost a year ago, I believe. (It was supposed to wash out in 6-8 shampoos..!) Before that, my hair was entirely natural, no bleaches or dyes in it, nada, just dirty blonde nicely conditioned hair.

..recently I had decided that I wanted to put in highlights, but that was a bust, since my supposed to be ash blonde highlights ended up white blonde on top (which didn't bother me, white would've been interesting..) and a deeper strawberry blonde where it had been dyed so many months ago. Since then, I've decided to go all out and get the red out, I've bleached it out once already.. 2-3 days ago, which got my hair to a light, orangey strawberry blonde.. , and of course, my roots turned a yellowish color.

What I want to know is, if its too soon to try rebleaching it (yes, I'm aware that I shouldn't bleach my roots as much as the rest of my dyed hair, I tend to not leave it on there more than 20 mins, while the rest of my hair gets 50-60 minutes.), so.. when's the right time to try bleaching again, and do you think it's possible that I could get *all* of my hair to a consistant ash blonde type color? (considering that ash and strawberry are on 2 seperate ends of the blonde spectrum..)

Any help would be appreciated.. thx

I'm assuming that you don't want to go to a professional, which would be the safest thing to do.

I would put bleach on the reddish ends only. Bring them up to the color of the roots. Then put an tint on that is light, but dark enough to cover the yellow.

I would not try to get all of your hair to a white blonde. To do so could result in damaged or breaking hair.

baking soda or a dish washing liquid should take the most of it out
