Lol...thought I would just start another post to see if anyone is out there doing the same thing I've been doing....checking in quickly...seeing no new post...moving on just as quickly to other fish forums to feed my fishtalk need..
All is well at my house with my fish...the baby rams are doing just fine, growing well and eating like little hogs...so far so good...
still waiting for supplys to come to get my 20L started up. Finally found some Echo-Complete substrate for a fairly reasonable price. Ended up paying about 24$ including shipping..best I've been able to find since none of the LFSs around here seem to carry it...too bad I don't think that 20lbs will be quite enough to fill that tank..I may mix it with some black sand.
Anyway, thought I would give folks something new to read and maybe get others started up on some other topics. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi Emg and anybody else around, I was surprised to see little going on here too. Nothing much going on here. Went to one of our bigger pet stores today only to find any remaining bettas being house in a tumbler sized containers (called hexadomes??) The thing was that they were only about the width of the fishs' body and had this big prickly plastic plant in it <img src="/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />. I tried not to feel too bad about it since they were the picked over fish and most didn't look too well anyhow. I was looking for females and the girl there said they didn't carry any, but didn't know why. Good reason to check out another store. Still working on my husband about finding Sugar a girlfriend <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />. I know why those of you who have them like paradise fish, I checked them out today. The mature ones are very nice. Now I'm babbling. Have a great nite everyone! <img src="/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

It has been awfully quiet here. I can't see new posts - for some reason all the old posts are at the top, save a few from a couple of days ago.
We will be on vacation in a few days. My brother will be keeping an eye on the kids with fins until I get back. I don't think Gilligan will be around when I get back. He doesn't look very good tonight. Poor little buddy!

Hi guys. I can unstick the old posts - those are the fish journals, whcih we encourage peopl eto add to, rather than starting new posts on the same topics. I can unstick them if people prefer, though. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I am busy moving...it's taken over my entire span of three months since xmas. Packing my house, moving stuff to storage, selling off what I can and getting my home ready for renters. Which has me nervous, BTW... <img src="/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
I have sent off some of my tanks to friends to watch for awhile, since neither Dan or I will have room for them for about a year - he will be living in a studio in Seattle and I will be in my RV this summer, and then join him in the studio til we decide where to look for a bigger place.
I will have two of my dogs, my guinea pigs and all my bettas in the RV. I might bring my guppies. Dan will be bringing up the goldfish/snails tank and maybe my community tank. My cichlids are staying with friends for awhile.
Blech! I wish the packing part of moving was over! And now you all know more than you wanted to about what I am doing... <img src="/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
I hope Gilligan pulls thru. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
Fishwife, a lot of stores don't carry females, mainly due to their lack of color and finnage. Ilove my beautiful girl bettas, but they just don't have the impact as the boyos. It's a good thing, though, becuase I suspect most newbies would buy a girl to 'keep the boy company'..and then the boy kills her!
I also like my Paradise Fish, but he has had to live alone since he is very nippy.
Emg, want to buy my 75g? LOL!

I so just figured out that the sticky ones have a little pin next to them. Now it's all so clear....
Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine.

Gilligan is hanging in there. Looks a little better than he did before. Not hanging around the bottom of the container as much, and is swimming more. I'm hoping he continues to improve. I am going on vacation and will have my son feeding the fish, but he's a little hesitant to change the water. He's worried he'll do something wrong.

I love my piggies but I wish I could litter train them. I have to put a towel in my lap to play with them!
Some piggies are potty trained, I hear. They are pretty set in their ways, so I just change out the litter frequently and get over it.
Anyway, my black girl is Hermoine and the white boy is Milo. They are a bonded pair and he is neutered after raising a bunch of prize babies. I aquired them after their stud/breeding days were over. <img src="/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Wheek, wheek!
