Has anyone sold a larger piece that they have cross-stitched. I was wondering how you could really sell something that has taken 60-80 hours of work... or more like do people pay the kind of money you would deserve?

I've only sold smaller pieces - and no. People never, ever pay what it's really worth - because that would price it completely out of the reach of 99% of people that would buy it.

I suppose it's why most embroiderers tend to give away the pieces that they don't want.

I make quilts for a few people and you never get enough money out of them just because it takes so long to make them. People don't relize how long it takes to make one. I will only make a quilt for someone that ask and I will let them know how much I'm going to charge for it before I make it. Dee
