As far as I am concerned, a magickal name should be one that "suits" you and helps you to feel the power that you possess. I could care less whether it agrees numerically with anything. It is the name that calls to you when you allow your spirit to run free. It is the name that gives you strength when you face your true nature. Cast your spiritual net and see what it draws to you; then claim it as your own.

well.. I do care about numerology.. but. My magical name is like 7 and birth number = 1. Doesn't quite fit. However, the important thing here (as you guys already pointed out) is that the name feels right. Numerology is another thing. It�s great if the numbers match, but if not... no biggie..

My magickal name has changed many times due to numerology. my original name fits with my birth name, but it didn't "feel" right until a while down my path, so i kept finding new names that fit my current path.... until i realized that my original magickal name is who i am.
Numerology is important to me, just because my perfect name happens to fit in with my given name's numbers.

I tried finding a magickal name when I first started out It was a very useful excersise but I never found anything that seemed right. I now just go as I am, My mum chose a great name for me not too comnmon and not to unusual and I feel that that name has a stronger link to me than any name I could think of myself.

I guess what I am saying is that if you do find a name then you are very lucky but if you don't then don't worry about it to much, if you are meant to have one it will come when you are ready.
