where can i find alot of dark matter? can i steal them from a fiend?

Two words: Monster Arena. You get 99 of them when you unlock Ultima Buster. If you have done this, then you can overkill most of them for 1 or 2 overkills. I think I had the best luck out of Shinryu, but you can get them from Ultima Buster, along with several others. In order to unlock Ultima Buster, you have to capture 5 of every fiend.

If you are playing the version with Dark Aeons then you can win 2 from each battle with Dark Yojimbo.

Since he is easy to kill and you can fight him many times you have an unlimited source of Dark Matter.

if you aren't in the version with dark aeons then you get 99 from the monster arena from capturing 5 of every monster, and after than overkill bosses in the arena and hope you get the rare drop of 2 dark matters
