What does spirituality mean in your life? Please share your experience with feeding your soul and nourishing your spirit. How much time do you spend getting your spiritual needs met?

I find my life is a spiritual journey and I look to different things within it as signs throughout the day that the Creator is within and surrounding me.

Spirituality for me involves varius things like prayer, meditation, reading, journaling and connection with other people. It is mostly private, and sometimes communal. I am not into religion in the sense of formalized rigid organized public spirituality. But I do think that gathering with others of like mind is good every so often.


Without some sort of spiritual practice, life can be quite vacant..............

Agreed. We are mind and body and spirit, and when we ignore any one of these, the other parts of us suffer. If I want to make a change in my life, in any area of it, I try to approach it in a three-tiered way that incorporates all of these aspects of my self with a common goal.

Spirituality for me means time spent with the Lord. I try everyday to set aside sometime to talk with Him and focus on what He wants for my life. Keeps me grounded. Life gets complicated and talking with the Lord helps me sort out the true course of my life and what my commission here is.

Spirituality to me is opening my eyes to the world around me. It gets hard at times to notice that not everything is about what is directly in front of you. I often find that if I recognize nature and all the elements, it keeps me in check with the universe. I constantly seek out signs from the universe because they are always there if you choose to see them. I always ask to be open to see and be aware of my place in the universe. It is then, that I am in touch with the higher power and my own spirituality.

I try to remember that I am a cocreator of my universe and that I can work to create peace and harmony or discord and chaos. It is up to me to make balance. I do go to church on Sundays and always feel uplifted by the generosity of spirit there. It makes me more patient with the world.

I think that spirituality has helped my mind, body and soul. things such as meditation help me to relax abit more when the kids stress me out!
I also do Yoga (which is said to be spiritual) it definitly helps the body.

I meet my spiritual needs by trying to remember to be kind. Of course, being human, I sometimes slip up - but I soon know it, because I don't feel very good after.

It has nothing to do with religion (i hate that this word has been stolen from religious people). For me spirituality is being in peace, being happy. It is also appreciating the beauty or nature and space.
