I'm putting together a list of good children's books and thought I'd ask if anyone has any suggestions. I think I have most of the major books, but it's always possible I've missed a few. I should have it up on the site by next week for "back to school."
Andre Norton...a GREAT sci-fi author who started writng under Andrew North back when She could only be published disguised as a he! Dozens of books; all child friendly. Most books involve a friendship between a child (from some planet) and an animal(from somewhere else); But still good enough for any adult fan, especially of the BEM variety.
If you want to know what God thinks of money, just look at the people he gave it to. Dorothy Parker
Anyone read that series of children's books that came out a few years ago called... Animorphs? I think that was the name. About kids who could morph into other animals. I always wanted to pick them up to see if they were worth children reading. Sounds like a neat premise.
Megan, I just started to reread the Narnia books.
My 7 yr old 2nd grader was asking me for science fiction to read (he sees me looking for stuff for the site) but I couldn't find anything really meant for his age. He's also asked for Harry Potter type books and I found a few he could read, but Scifi is hard for the little guys. I'll have to look up Andre Norton.
