Hello Mystery Book Lovers,

What have you been up to?

What's the most recent mystery you read? Did you like it? If you didn't, what didn't you like?

Anything else you'd like to tell us about this mystery?

He is a wonderful author ... I've read all his books. Although I found the latest one kind of slow going, will have to have to try it again when my life is a little quieter. The title is In The Moon of Red Ponies.

I read Susan McBride's "Blue Blood". I recommend it. Not a deep mystery but a good read.

I've read several lately, but the one I've enjoyed must recently is "Into the Fire" by Anne Stuart.Good story although all the info about sexual tension was a bit much. On the other hand, the sexual scenes made me HOT!!!

Why is there never enough time to do it right, but always enough time to do it over?

I'm halfway through:

Angels & Demons by Dan Brown (author of The DaVinci Code). The clerk said it was better than TDC, and she was right!

I bought a book last night:

The Sinner by Tess Gerritsen.

Like fellow authors Robin Cook and Michael Palmer, Gerritsen is a medical doctor turned writer--so her books are medical thrillers/mysteries.

I am being held captive here until my son gets settled Soooo I am reading LOTS ....I just found Nevada Barr: mysteries about a park ranger named Anna Pigeon. I have read six and they are all very well done.
Tony Hillerman is a jewel. Some of his books have recently been on PBS on Mystery Theater
and more on the way. His charaters live on the Res in the "Four Corners" states. They deal with life and death on the Res(ervations) there.
Magaret Truman(daughter of Harry) writes a great mystery as well...and Dick Francis...and...

I am in the process of reading all the Sneaky Pie Brown(a cat)books (Hopefully in order). If you have not tried one they are like potato chips..."can't eat just one"...These books are written by Rita Mae Brown.
Lillian Jackson Braun writes excellent cat mysteries found in her "The Cat Who..."series.

The most recent mystery I read was [color:"blue"] MAISIE DOBBS [/color] by Jacqueline Winspear . I enjoyed it very much as its plot development is quite different than most of the mysteries I read.

The book was one of three books my sister sent me which are all set in locales that I have visited on recent vacations. I love reading books that have settings with places that are familiar to me.
