Her Saturday Night Live performance this weekend wasn't exactly live...

I could care less. She is not pretending to perform openheart surgery. If she sang it to begin with thenshe must be able to sing? This is not a Milli Vanilli moment( I'm guessing). I was much more annoyed by Steven Tyler lip-syncing at a live baseball game and yet(come to think about it) it is not brain surgery either......Now I cannot carry a tune in a barrel and I envy those who can BUT ? :music:

She was booed at the Rose Bowl half-time show...I think that is rude! Most everyone lip-sincs at huge specialty venues...they just have not all been caught. What is this girl? 18 or 19...I find her much more "real" than sister Jessica; who appears to be another simpering poster child for blonde jokes like Paris Hilton.
"So Is this chicken of the sea stuff chicken or tuna?" That may not be exact but it retains the (ahem!) the flavor of her one of remarks on her TV show....
but I digress...

I don't like Jessica either. I dislike people that are paid to be dumb ie Anne Nicole Smith. I think the problem with the Orange Bowl performance was that it was bad. I don't think she would have been booed if she had actually sang or used a tape. I don't mind people that use a tape during their shows, but she was yelling not singing. The deal with SNL was that she didn't say "yeah I did it." She blamed everyone else. I just didn't understand why she was choosen to perform at the football game. It is basically the Super Bowl of college football. Is she suppose to be that big of a star with anyone over the age of 15 that actually watches football? I think she is trying too hard to be someone she isn't so she isn't like Jessica. It is sad.

On one hand, I feel bad for her, because lots of singers nowadays use a backing track for one reason or another...she just happened to get caught and it's haunting her for life.

On the other hand, she has the choice of singing with or without the backing track and the fact that she kept making excuses instead of sucking up and taking the blame was just inexcusable.

She actually has a decent voice. Not the histronic caliber of Jessica, but good enough that she shouldn't have to resort to lip-syncing.

But I guess that's what you get when the music industry favors a "complete package" over raw talent.

And I don't think it was fair of the Orange Bowl crowd to boo her -- it sounds to me more like they were just jumping on the controversy rather than giving her a chance to prove herself.

My 2 1/2 cents anyways. LOL :rolling:

I don't know if I would have booed her. I know when I was watching it live here at home before the booing started, I was making fun of how bad she was doing. All the grunting and sexual dancing was too funny. It wasn't the SNL thing. Stuff like that happens. I would have laughed at anyone at that point doing that. I think she is just making bad choices or listening to the wrong people for advice. On the radio she sounds fine. She just may not be able to do live shows. Nerves or what not.

I feel bad for her too - I mean she is so young and just trying to make a name for herself. Between this and the Saturday Night Live incident I wonder if her career stands a chance??
