Well it's only 3 weeks until I go to France and I'm stuck on 13st 7lbs. I want to lose those last 7lbs before I go so I'm going to revert to induction for 2 weeks and see if that'll do it.

Is this an okay idea?

Sure, you can do that - but you also need to consider why you're stuck. If you're stuck because your body isn't really getting enough calories in and is clinging to the fat, then eating less food is going to make it even worse.

I would highly recommend instead drinking a ton of water, eating your vitamins, upping your daily exercise and making sure you're eating food every 3-4 hours that is really healthy for you. It's far more likely that a metabolism increase right now (i.e. exercise) is going to help far more than cutting back your food intake will ...

Could it be that the initial weight loss was a great deal of retained water? I've been an on & off low-carb dieter for several years (I'm prone to giving in to temptations, sometimes smirk ... ) and the first week, I always lose the most.

Instead of potatoes, try baked spaghetti squash. They're 8g of digestable carbs ber 1 cup serving, but well worth it. You can dress them up with cheddar and bacon and scallions and you can't tell the difference between it and a baked potato!

Definitely ALL diets begin with water loss - but low carb explicitly tells you to drink a ton of water at the beginning to counteract that. So of all the diets out there, low carb should have the least "water loss" involved. The aim is NOT to lose water - it is to get your body to burn fat.

Yup squash is an EXCELLENT, healthy meal!!
