I have a lot of low carb breakfast ideas here -
http://www.bellaonline.com/subjects/4076.asp in general eggs are perfect, so scrambled eggs, fried eggs, ham and broccoli omelets, poached eggs, sausage, cheese, steak, etc. So all of the traditional 'european breakfast' items.
Waffles and oatmeal are both grain products. Low carb is all about avoiding sugar and grain products in general, although high fiber, multi grains are OK in moderation. So things like oatmeal and waffles are in general things you would normally be avoiding, especially in the weight loss stages. These are things your body burns for 'easy energy' and therefore doesn't turn to your fat stores to burn. Your aim is to NOT give your body easy energy, because if you do, it won't bother to burn your fat
You might want to start here with the basics of low carb -

Yes, if you're at your ideal weight, you could mix in whole wheat grains into your diet. But it's not something you should eat all the time and certainly not at the beginning when you are trying to lose weight
